You could not ask for a more scenic location! Pizza was amazing. Burger should be avoided. The restaurant just switched over to a new system, so the servers were learning to use the new system so service took longer than expected, but still enjoyed my experience.
I was here with my family and we had a traditional Finnish lunch: 2 salmon soups and 2 friend vendace. Both were delicious and plentiful, definitely worth the price.
Finnish beer and the mud cake with ice cream were also good.
Service was a bit slow, but the waitress is lovely, the view outside the window is relaxing, and the quality of food is worth waiting. If you’re in Suomenlinna and look for a restaurant serving also traditional dishes at a decent price this is the place !
The food was delicious, I had the chicken burger and tried some of the vegan burger both were amazing. Served with a generous portion of chips. The coffee is really good, the expresso was perfectly strong. Was tempted into a mud cake for dessert, it was well worth it.
Most negative reviews speak about service. Service was friendly and the kitchen was fast. However, during our visit there was only one person work front of house. She was super friendly and very efficient. Naturally this means if it's busy there's a bit of a wait for a table or service. But it's worth the wait
We ate two salmon soups and they were absolutely delicious, we would definitely come back. The food arrived pretty quickly, the place was nice and the waitresses were friendly.
Great food and fair price. I went there with my family (5 people in total), we ate a variety of dishes - soup, fish, pizza and burgers - and everything tasted great.
Enjoying outdoor space. Cozy and heritage feel Bistro. There was a gathering as well when we visited. We had Salmon Soup & Chicken Burger and Salmon Cellar Sandwich.
We had the fish soup and it was hearty & tasty! The waitress was super nice and the atmosphere very cozy! We would come here again!
It is one of the best food places in Suomenlinna. Tried the French onion soup served with bacon and cheese toast which tasted very good. I also tasted the apple pie and it was amazing. The service is good with a friendly host. This place also has glogg and alcoholic beverages.
